نCurrently, I am an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Mu’tah University, Jordan. My specialization in mechanical engineering is production, microstructure and mechanical properties correlation of engineering materials. In addition to teaching and research, I have a track record of experience in academic administration: seven years as Head of Mechanical Engineering Department. I have participated in numerous committees and councils either as a member or as a chairman related to the faculty, the university, student affairs, industry, and local community. I also worked in the United Kingdom and acquired wide experience in research and testing of engineering materials. In addition, I worked with the Northern Consortium of British Universities in 2000/2001 when a 2+2 programme was established at Mu’tah University during that time. I taught Applied Mathematics (Engineering Mechanics I, II, and III) and Communication Skills (Technical writing) during that period.
I was educated in Britain and obtained all of my qualifications after high school, the last of which is a PhD from the University of London (Queen Mary and Westfield College), 1996. Throughout my career I participated in the design of new specializations at the Faculty of Engineering. The subjects I have taught are both at Bachelor Degree (in Mechanical Engineering) level and Master Degree level (in Engineering Management) I am fluent in English and Arabic with excellent communication skills, both oral and written. From my accumulated experience I do possess counseling skills, supervisory experience, organizational skills, etc. and I am acquainted with multicultural backgrounds.
