Dr. Saqer Alja’Afreh received BSc in Electrical Engineering/Communications Engineering (Mutah University 2004, Jordan), MSc (Eng) in Communications Engineering (Mutah University 2007, Jordan), and PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Liverpool, UK in 2015. He has been conducting research in the areas of antennas design for wireless applications (3G 4G 5G, WiFi, MIMO antennas) since 2012.
He worked as a Field Engineer in Amman, Jordan from 2008 to 2009. He has worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Mutah University, Al karak, Jordan from 2009 to 2012. Currently, he is an assistant professor in electrical engineering at Mutah University since November 2015. Also, he worked as the head of electrical engineering department at Mutah University from 2017 to 2018, and from March 2021 to September 2021. He is a member of IEEE as well as a member of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (APS).
His current research interests includes MIMO and diversity antennas, dielectric resonator antennas, planar antennas and microwave circuits. He has published over 55-refereed papers in leading journals and conference proceedings. Recently, he received a 50,000 GBP Royal Academy grant for the development of an undergraduate industry-related mobile communications course in communications engineering curriculum. He received several granted project as a Co-PI inside Mutah University.."
